1. Who we are

RensAPK (previously Aalst-Waalre APK) is an independent APK inspection station at Emmastraat 1D, 5583 BL Waalre, the Netherlands. We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.

2. What data we process

Contact form

If you fill in the contact form, we process:

• your name;
• your phone number;
• your vehicle’s licence plate, if you enter it;
• the content of your message;
• your IP address and the time of sending, to prevent abuse.

Booking an appointment online

We use Booqable for online bookings. When you book, Booqable processes your name, contact details and the chosen date and time on our behalf, acting as our processor.

Inspection data

For the inspection itself we record the licence plate and the result. We are legally required to report this to the RDW and to retain part of it.

Map

The map on this website comes from Google Maps. It only loads after you click “Load map” yourself. Until then, no data is sent to Google.

3. Why we process this data

• To answer your question or call you back. Basis: your consent, or performance of a contract.
• To schedule and carry out an appointment. Basis: performance of a contract.
• To comply with the law, such as reporting to the RDW and tax retention requirements. Basis: legal obligation.
• To prevent abuse of the form. Basis: legitimate interest.

4. How long we keep it

• Contact form messages: no longer than twelve months after they are dealt with.
• Appointment data: as long as needed for our records, then deleted.
• Invoices and accounts: seven years, as required by Dutch tax law.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and only share it where necessary:

• with the RDW, to register the inspection result (legal obligation);
• with Booqable, our booking software;
• with our hosting provider, who runs the website and email;
• with our accountant, for our records.

Data processing agreements are in place with these parties where required.

6. Cookies

This website sets no tracking cookies and uses no advertising networks. The only cookie is a technically necessary session cookie that protects the contact form against abuse. No consent is required for that.

The Booqable booking module may set its own cookies that are needed for your reservation to work.

7. How we protect your data

The website runs entirely over a secure connection (https). Access to email and records is limited to the owner and protected by a password.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• access your data;
• have your data corrected or erased;
• restrict or object to the processing;
• withdraw your consent;
• have your data transferred to another party.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
